23 May Vertaal certified PEPPOL Access Point in Singapore
The month of May was a pivotal time at Vertaal and we are proud to announce that we have been approved by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) as a certified PEPPOL Access Point. This marks a significant milestone at Vertaal and allows us to expand our capabilities to support the rapid adoption of Singapore’s nationwide e-invoicing initiative.
Originating in Europe, and now extending across Asia-Pacific, the PEPPOL eDelivery Network is an interoperable and secure network that is used to connect public agencies and private enterprises by establishing a set of common business processes and technical standards.
By connecting to PEPPOL, organisations can expect cost reductions from replacing paper-based invoices with a standardised electronic alternative; business can expect near real-time visibility of payment cycles and accelerated customer payments. Until 31st December 2020, the IMDA is offering a $200 grant to eligible organisations in Singapore to support the setup costs to connect to the PEPPOL eDelivery Network and to encourage early adoption of the e-invoicing initiative.
